Private Investigators Pull Phone Records for Investigations

Cell Phone Records can be an important tool in a case with an Attorney Law Firm. A Private Investigator is able to pull these records to use as evidence for or against a case. Cell Phone Record investigations fall under a category known as telephone surveillance. This can also be part of a larger investigation or standalone investigation.

Cell Phone Record searches can be part of different types of investigations. Some of those include:

      Missing persons

      Asset searches

      Skip tracing

      Telephone account investigations

      Background checks

      Fugitive recovery

      Process serving

      Cheating spouse investigations

      Fraud

      Criminal investigations

      Phone call record theft

      Custody

      Abuse

Information from such investigations are often used in court by Attorney Law Firms. The findings are admissible because Private Investigators are seen as an impartial third party.

While there are services that claim to provide phone records, programs available to the public are often not able to be verified unless checking against the official phone records. A Private Investigator will go right to the verified source, cutting out that middle step. The middle step would likely cost a fee and then lack verification. Also, if these records are to hold up in court, the online service is not going to cut it.

When a Private Investigator runs a Phone Records Search, a warrant is usually in-hand. PI’s will also reach out to personal contacts and other networks. All findings of Phone Record Searches are performed ethically, not only to uphold the PI’s reputation, but to ensure the information will be permissible in court.
